The foundation’s founder, Mrs Grada van Beek-Donner, had a clear purpose in mind in 1948: housing for single women. In those days, these were not readily available.

Meanwhile, in the spirit of its inception, the foundation offers financial support to women who are not eligible for government support or cannot rely on relatives for help in starting, finishing or deepening a study. The objective is for such girls and women to have a strong starting position of gaining economic independence upon completion of their study.
